4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. business administration management science or public administration.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. supervisory administrative &/or managerial position.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. supervisory administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning research &/or policy/procedure development.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1 63122.

What You Will Do at ODM:

Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a Program Administrator to provide comprehensive support to the Chief Data Officer (CDO). This role involves leading administrative tasks managing projects and ensuring the efficient operation of the D&IS Office. As the Program Coordinator for D&IS your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing various administrative tasks (e.g. scheduling meetings making travel arrangements and communicating with clients).
  • Formulating policies and acting as a liaison among management staff and other agency managers.
  • Attending meetings with the CDO to coordinate action items and follow-up monitoring tasks and deadlines managing contracts and agreements and ensuring timely submission of D&IS activities.
  • Coordinating with various bureaus and departments to facilitate project success analyze and evaluate D&IS goals and develop performance benchmarks
  • Managing office functions (e.g. budget and expenditures scheduling and business operations).
  • Responding to inquiries from legislators and other agencies.

The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and skilled in managing administrative and project coordination tasks. They should have strong communication and time management abilities and be comfortable supporting leadership with scheduling documentation and follow-up. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word Excel OneNote Publisher and Project) is important for handling calendars reports and project tracking.
