Job Summary:
We are looking to hire an additional team member in the County Clerks Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable processes ensuring timely and accurate payments and maintaining detailed financial records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable procedures and financial record keeping
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in financial management software and MS Office particularly Excel and Access
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Validate reconcile and process invoices and receipts
- Communicate with vendors to address and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Maintain accurate financial records reports and documentation
- Support month-end closing activities
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and documentation requirements
- Contribute to audits and financial reviews as necessary
