Food Service Aide

Schedule: Part Time - Rotating (with every other weekend commitment)

Location: Wilmington DE

Department: Food and Nutrition Patients

Reports to: Food Service Manager

Position Purpose:

Saint Francis Hospital a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is looking for a Part -Time Food Service Associate to join our Food & Nutrition team!

What You Will Do:

• The main focus of our Food Service Aides is providing personalized meal service to hospital patients.
• Assisting patients with meal selection serving meals to patients clearing soiled and used trays from patients.
• Stocking nursing unit pantries with supplies taking meal carts to and from the patient floors breaking down meal carts and various other side work duties assigned by management during shifts.
• Serving cafeteria customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Stocking various areas in the cafeteria and general sanitation.
• Assisting other cafeteria and patient service staff as needed.
• Responsible for the record keeping of safe food temperatures and refrigeration temperatures.
• Works with management to ensure smooth operation and Quality Control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
• Healthcare experience (preferred)
• Customer service oriented.
• Effectively communicates with customers clients and management.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and alone.
• Ability to interact with kitchen and supervisory staff.
