About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to design implement and maintain integrations between major messaging platforms (WeChat WhatsApp LINE etc.) and the Salesforce ecosystem (CRM Marketing Cloud Data Cloud) across China and other Asian markets. The ideal candidate blends advanced technical expertise with deep regional platform knowledge compliance awareness and a focus on scalable customer-centric solutions.
In this role you will collaborate closely with revenue operations digital marketing marketing communications sales and brand teams acting as a key contributor to the global marketing automation team. Reporting to the Senior Developer & Supervisor of Global Marketing Automation this position suits an experienced developer who excels in building robust infrastructures streamlining processes through seamless integrations and leveraging data to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and Optimize Platforms
- Support the full lifecycle of scoping designing developing and monitoring projects and systems (24/7) including WeChat WhatsApp and LINE Salesforce Marketing Cloud third-party platforms custom PHP Application (Laravel) and internal tools.
- Ensure smooth system integrations with internal servers to enhance operational efficiency performance and scalability.
- Leverage git for source control and Jira for requirements tracking to keep projects on track with timelines and deliverables.
Engineering and Architecture Design
- Define scalable infrastructure needs and technical features for proposed solutions to meet business goals.
- Design solution diagrams application architectures and process workflows tailored to operational requirements.
- Identify and resolve challenges related to data integration processing and activation.
- Prepare comprehensive functional and non-functional specification documents with a focus on security scalability and performance.
- Map and automate targeted lead & customer journeys to enhance user experiences aligning them with organizational objectives.
Advanced Data Management
- Develop and manage data pipelines ETL/ELT processes and automation workflows using the Salesforce ecosystem (CRM Marketing Cloud Data Cloud) ensuring accurate timely and scalable data movement between messaging platforms and Salesforce.
- Build and maintain data logic scripts and audience segmentation strategies while adhering to local privacy regulations.
- Monitor document and analyze data flows to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Collaboration and Mentorship
- Cultivate a culture of learning and growth by mentoring junior developers and marketing automation team members in technical skills integration best practices and Salesforce/messaging platform capabilities.
- Promote collaboration and problem-solving within cross-functional teams to enhance project outcomes.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Build automated test cases for real-world applications to ensure functionality accuracy and adherence to business requirements.
- Conduct detailed end-to-end and UAT testing scenarios tailored to personalization and data-driven use cases guaranteeing seamless integration and impactful customer experiences.
- Continuously refine testing protocols to improve system reliability and performance.
Key Skills and Expertise:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years in full-stack development
- 2 more years of experience with social apps specifically WeChat/WeCom and WhatsApp
- Demonstrated expertise in developing scalable high-performance solutions leveraging advanced proficiency in JavaScript PHP Laravel AMPScript SSJS Python SQL and HTML.
- Extensive experience in the China digital marketing landscape integrating platforms like WeChat WhatsApp and LINE into the Salesforce ecosystem using APIs SDKs and middleware driving compliant and data-driven customer engagement campaigns.
- Mastery of IIS and Windows Server management PHP Stack optimization and global system architecture.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs webhooks and event-driven architectures.
- Proven ability to lead full project lifecyclesfrom conceptualization and requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation supportensuring adherence to scope budget and timelines. Skilled in designing implementing and maintaining complex technical architectures and scalable infrastructures tailored to global operational needs.
- Extensive experience with Git version control ensuring rigorous codebase management and fostering seamless collaboration within diverse and cross-functional development teams.
- Adept at conducting risk assessments and implementing robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive data adhering to company standards and framework.

- Fluency in English and Mandarin with a thorough understanding of PIPL and global data privacy regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to communicate with technical and non-technical people in both English and Mandarin.
