The total compensation package for this role will include full relocation and a sign-on bonus with a 24-month service commitment.

Schedule: this in an exempt leadership role that will mainly work Monday through Friday although that may vary based on business needs.

How youll contribute

A Director of Materials Management who excels in this role:

• Oversees the evaluation procurement storage and distribution of all supplies and equipment within the hospital. This is a working director role.
• Quality improvement which includes receiving and PO discrepancy item conversions (spreadsheets) and item builds and deletions.
• Conducts backorder research and status update communication to all those impacted. Must have experience and knowledge with contracts and cost analysis.
• Develops and implements departmental goals plans and standards consistent with the clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations including patient care delivery information technologies service level determination and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities including hiring orienting evaluating disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares monitors and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
• Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.

What were looking for

• Education: Bachelors degree preferred
• Experience: A minimum of five years of leadership experience and three years hospital acute care experience or a minimum of ten years of past purchasing experience and one year of hospital acute care experience.
