Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Consultant the Recruiter is responsible for providing comprehensive talent acquisition services to our designated client this role you will be managing and executing the full life cycle recruitment process from applicant screening and candidate assessment to the selection and offer process management. WHAT YOULL BE DOING
- Hiring Manager Support:Collaborate with hiring managersto meet their recruitment needs. This includes posting requisitions screening candidates and managing the assessment process through to selection and offer.
- Candidate Experience:Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Maintain open communication provide feedback to candidates post-interviews and effectively manage candidates throughout their journey with us.
- Business Partnerships: Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to fill open positions within the union and management ensuring a seamless alignment between recruitment and business needs.
- Policy and Process:Provide input on recruitment policies procedures and process guidelines contributing to the continuous improvement of our recruitment practices.
- Subject Matter Expertise:Act as a subject matter expert in providing advisory services by consulting with the Hiring Manager and HR Consulting team on all matters relating to high-quality candidate management and consultation on candidate selection.
- Market Research:Maintain current knowledge of the recruitment landscape trends and labor market to ensure our recruitment strategies are current and competitive.
- Technology Utilization:Effectively and comfortably utilize recruitment tools within York Region guidelines to support recruitment activities.
- Compliance:Ensure that our hiring procedures remain consistent with Regional Policy Employment and Human Rights legislation.
- Backup Support:Provide backup support to the Talent Acquisition Consultant and other Recruiters as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE REGION
- Successful completion of a University degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related discipline or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years experience managing the end-to-end recruitment process within a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Ability to develop meaningful and trusted relationships and to partner with and manage stakeholders at all levels of the organization with an exceptional commitment to client service.
- Demonstrated consulting facilitation and advisory skills with the ability to successfully promote new concepts and ideas.
- Exposure torecruitment technology tools such asapplicant tracking systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Proficiency in behavioral interviewing methodologies competency-based techniques and/or other selection and assessment tools.
- Knowledge of relevant Employment and Human Services legislation acts and regulations as well as employee and labour relations trends and issues.
- Understanding of cultural diversity as it relates to employment process and business need of the Region.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including Communication Innovation Teamwork and Collaboration and Personal Ownership.
