Role description:

Were seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Associate Project Manager to join our Water team playing a pivotal role in supporting Capital Programmes in the Water Industry. This exciting opportunity involves working closely with a large multi-disciplinary team on a flagship water infrastructure project right at the clients site. From civil and mechanical to electrical engineering this project offers a diverse range of challenges and opportunities. As part of our Programme and Project Management team youll help deliver some of the biggest most iconic projects imaginable with some of the best talent around. With your energy agility and a keen eye for detail youll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients every day.

Role accountabilities:

• Lead a multidisciplinary team managing people to deliver the required outputs and standards of delivery and/or mentor coach and develop the skills and capabilities of colleagues in order to achieve project objectives and continuously improve results.
• Monitor and review the performance and behaviour of all team members ensuring compliance with Arcadis risk and compliance policy and codes of conduct.
• Assure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service.
• Analyse and compile a range of complex data and documents using knowledge and analysis conducted by others to review and assess analysis and provide advice and recommendations to contribute to project decision-making.
• Use own knowledge and experience of industry best practice to develop processes and review policies for own project ensuring changes are in line with strategic business objectives.
• Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and collaboration across projects to ensure client satisfaction.
• Act as a technical expert within own project providing subject matter advice to colleagues within the project in order to support successful delivery in line with project objectives.
• Manage relationships with clients and direct third-party contractors in order to ensure all parties are informed and aware of project progress and expectations.
• Establish and promote a health safety and environmental culture including opportunities to continuously improve.
• Embrace digital and sustainable solutions in day-to-day project delivery.
• Work with pursuits team to identify and pursue new project opportunities with new and existing client(s)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant project management experience including experience of managing and leading teams.
• Experience of successfully delivering portfolios of programmes or projects ideally in the water sector.
• Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
• Subject matter expertise in own discipline
• Commercial acumen and the ability to manage relationships with and influence external stakeholders.
• Experience of leading and implementing complex business change solutions
• Experience in managing business relationships at senior-management level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on client relationship management
• Experience in leading a Health and Safety performance culture within construction projects.

Other requirements:

• Line management responsibilities assisting and participating in developing yourself and other team members to their full potential.
• Driving license
