Role description:

We have an opportunity for an Associate Commercial Director to lead and grow our cost and commercial delivery for Residential and Commercial Development projects across South West England and South Wales. This role is ideal for someone with a track record in service excellence team management and delivering multi-million-pound projects or programmes. You will drive and enhance our commercial offering performance and client experience while managing and developing cost management teams locally.

Role accountabilities:

• Manage internal teams and resources on complex projects and programmes (1m100m)
• Lead develop and mentor a high-performing team to deliver projects within cost time and quality standards
• Prepare project costings and budgets managing finances for best value outcomes
• Oversee cost management assignments from inception to completion ensuring client expectations are met
• Clearly understand client objectives in the relevant sector
• Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with organisational policies and contracts
• Analyse data and provide recommendations for effective decision-making
• Apply best practice to enhance cost and commercial management systems
• Drive service improvement and innovation across the team
• Manage client relationships identifying opportunities to improve services and satisfaction
• Act as a technical expert providing advice and solutions across projects
• Build strong relationships with senior clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and create new opportunities

Qualifications & Experience:

• Chartered professional with experience delivering medium to large projects (1m100m) across the project lifecycle
• Proven people management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
• Experience building and managing senior client relationships as a trusted adviser
• Able to share knowledge and maintain relationships with peers and senior colleagues
• Commercial acumen and organisational awareness
• Knowledge of the South West market especially Exeter and Bristol; South Wales/Cardiff knowledge is a plus
• Bachelors degree or equivalent. Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
• CSCS card holder
