Key Responsibilities
Greet patients answer phones and provide clerical support to clinical departments.
Schedule appointments using computerized scheduling systems.
Verify insurance benefits and obtain precertification/authorization as needed.
Collect required payments including co-pays and deductibles or refer patients to financial counselors when appropriate.
Accurately gather and enter demographic billing and clinical information into the registration system in a timely manner.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in customer service healthcare or administrative roles preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Computer proficiency and comfort learning new systems.
