Job Description
The Insurance Program Manager is responsible for the daily operation and insurance renewal process for BJC Health Systems mid-size insurance programs. Under the direction of the Director of Insurance and Risk Financing this individual works directly with internal and external colleagues to review analyze identify and mitigate risk exposures to the system that may cause loss. Additionally the Insurance Program Manager assists with the reporting data analysis and filings necessary to maintain workers compensation self-insurance authority in the states of IL MO and KS.
This is a remote position with preference in the KS MO IL area.
Manages all aspects of various mid-size BJC Health System insurance programs. This includes operational responsibility exposure data review/analysis and insurance renewal submissions. Makes recommendations to Director of Insurance & Risk Financing.
Assists Director of Insurance & Risk Financing in the development analysis and assessment of financial aspects of insurance programs to identify and mitigate risk exposures to the system that may cause loss.
Manages and monitors compliance with various state workers compensation program self-insurance requirements including qualifications data analysis reporting and tax assessment filings.
Works with the Director of Insurance & Risk Financing to identify process improvement opportunities. Assists with coordination and implementation of loss prevention and process improvement initiatives for insurance impacted activities.
Other insurance-related duties as assigned.
