As a CoStar Senior Software Engineer on the Data Automation team you will play a key role in expanding the data platform that supports all of CoStar Groups largest brands including CoStar Suite LoopNet and . You will deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software. We firmly believe that what separates a good developer from a great one is a deep understanding of the business that they are supporting.
This position is located in Richmond VA and the work schedule will be 4 days onsite with 1 day remote.
Responsibilities
Build big distributed API-driven systems for tens of thousands of users
Produce bullet-proof code that is robust efficient and maintainable; our primary tools areReact JS C# .NET Framework AWS (Dynamo/S3/Lambda) SQL Server
Drive and lead software design development standards code reviews.
Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities trends and best practices that can be leveraged to strength CoStars technology platform and develop practices.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required from an accredited not-for-profit University or College
4 years of experience in React JS JavaScript
4 years of experience in C# .NET Framework& Web API 2.0 Development
3 years of experience in MS SQL Server OR Database Design in T-SQL programming/performance tuning
Experience in architecting designing and building large scale distributed services-oriented systems and web applications in an agile environment
Data modeling experience
A track record of commitment to prior employers
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
Advanced SQL Querying
Data modeling experience from conceptual logical and physical designs
Experience with RESTful web services
