EMPTY AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING OFFICER
37 HOURS PER WEEK
GRADE 7 33143 - 35412
Located on the Lancashire coast with Preston Blackpool and the Lake District nearby Wyre is an area of great contrast and includes urban areas seaside resorts a marina traditional market towns and picturesque villages within an extensive rural area that includes part of the Forest of Bowland an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Such a diverse area presents an interesting and challenging mix of urban and rural planning and regeneration issues particularly when it comes to empty and affordable homes.
We are looking to recruit a full time Empty and Affordable Homes Officer to join our Planning Policy team. The successful candidate will provide support to the Affordable Housing Delivery Officer in monitoring affordable housing and bringing new delivery forward as well as being the main point of contact for identifying and addressing empty homes by supporting owners to bring them back in to use and even converting them into affordable housing where possible.
Ideally with knowledge and experience of dealing with empty homes and/or affordable housing you will be a confident and effective communicator and use your skills to engage with empty homeowners other departments within the Council and members of the public. With previous experience of delivering high performance standards you will have a clear understanding of the relationship between corporate priorities and the delivery of a high-quality service to our customers.
