Job Description:

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide support and direction for the production Quality Control Technical Associates (QCTA) includingsupportofday-to-dayqualitymanagement and supervision of the production area. Ensuredaily quality reporting for morning meetings and record retention is completed and ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Overseeing equipmentconfirmationandassociate operations for quality focus ensuring internal process audits are on schedule scrap is accurately reported in L2L (Lean 2 Lean) suspect part containment within the department and providing suspect ranges to QA (Quality Assurance). Communication and reporting to Production Quality Coordinator. Leading Counter Measure activity PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) and continuous improvement activity. Ensure effective communication with all appropriate departments as needed. This role includes managing the QCTAs and collaborating closely with the production team as well as other departments to maintain and enhance quality systems. Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assignments may include but are not limited to:

  • Know QMS (Quality Management System) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) policies

  • Support department QMS activity and manage activities to assure compliance

  • Lead and develop countermeasures and themes to help achieve quality targets and improvements

  • Support preparation and reporting of department monthly reports

  • Lead and support investigation of quality concerns

  • Issue IPP (Initial Parts Production) tags to track change points as required by Astemo QMS

  • Create quality alerts and abnormal process procedures when necessary

  • Analyze input and track internal rejections and direct passes

  • Lead and assist in no good and suspect part containment including assisting with lot controls and ensure that they are done correctly

  • Support or lead quality investigations and data collection

  • Control/audit temporary revision operation standards

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products. Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Be flexible to work adjusted work hours including another shift

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)

  • Minimum of 3 years in a quality related role in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency with Windows MS Word

  • Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint (create charts presentations visual management and data collection)

  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Capable of using Quality inspection equipment (Height stands gauges calipers etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-year college degree in Business Administration Management or Organizational Leadership

  • 5P Training (5 Principles of Problem Solving: Define Identify Implement Verify Feedback/Feed-Forward)

Essential to Job Functions -- Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:

  • Ability to work for long periods of time while standing

  • Standing walking and bending for the duration of the workday

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen

  • Full motor skills

  • Overtime required
