Manager Internal Services Operations - Full-time

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Manager Internal Services Operations. This role will be great for someone that possesses a desire for a fast-paced dynamic work environment.

  • Location: Bellevue Medical Center / Integrated Service Center

Manager Internal Services Operations Description:
Provide leadership for perioperative supply chain operations for all clinical programs and/or services. This includes but is not limited to: business planning financial and operational analysis reporting and evaluation of services. Participate in strategic and business planning processes to support multiple surgical specialties. Provide general business consultation to supply chain and perioperative services. Lead develop and mentor operational support staff. Serve as a liaison with Finance Decision Support and Materials Management. Coordinate the logistics to ensure timely delivery of surgical products that serve all perioperative surgical locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years experience in general hospital financial management or process improvement in a healthcare environment required.

  • Minimum of two years direct supervisory experience required.

  • Bachelors degree in business administration accounting finance nursing health administration industrial engineering or a related field required.

  • Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Excellent speaking ability and the ability to communicate with hospital and finance leaders required.

  • High degree of initiative and organizational skills required.

  • Maturity and coaching leadership skills required.

  • Expert knowledge and strong computer skills in database management graphical presentation and Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required.

  • Proven analytical skills critical thinking skills independent problem-solving skills and self-directed work experience required.

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills required.

  • Ability to lead and develop teams required.

  • Flexibility and dedication to team environment required.

  • Ability to anticipate and respond effectively to changes in direction and priorities required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in purchasing materials management billing/reimbursement in the perioperative services environments preferred.

  • Additional experience would include budgeting capital equipment acquisition/negotiations trend analysis analytical skills and activity based costing preferred.

  • Clinical management and supervisory experience preferred.

  • Masters degree in business or healthcare administration preferred.

  • Knowledge of decision support systems system theory and statistics preferred.

  • Working knowledge of the mechanics of quality/performance improvement techniques preferred.

  • Demonstrate healthcare business financial analysis analytical acumen research capabilities and data analysis skills preferred.

  • Basic understanding of sterile processing and sterility assurance as these relate to perioperative services
