Introduction to role:
Join AstraZenecas Durham NC site as a Maintenance Technician Apprentice and embark on a ground-breaking journey in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This outstanding 2-year apprenticeship program registered with the Department of Labor offers a blend of paid hands-on experience and classroom instruction (onsite/offsite). As an apprentice youll be part of a team committed to advancing global healthcare while working towards a nationally accredited vocational qualification. Accountabilities:
As a member of the Operations and Facilities team youll play a vital role in maintaining our GMP manufacturing suites and technical infrastructure. Operates a single shift (Monday through Friday) with weekend overtime as needed depending on production requirements. A typical semester-based schedule may include a minimum of 24 hours of onsite work/training and 16 hours of coursework per week. (Subject to academic calendar and the needs of the business).
Your responsibilities may also include:
Supporting installation maintenance and repair of equipment that maybe scheduled and/or as needed
Performing cleaning and lean manufacturing activities in line with cGMP
Documenting work orders in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
