Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Finance (FINN) at the Sam M. Walton College of Business University of Arkansas Fayetteville invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position starting August 10 2026. The employee is expected to publish research in top-tier finance journals teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute their service to the university.

Regular on-campus availability in-person teaching and active contribution to the life of the department including exhibiting respect and cooperation in shared academic and administrative tasks are essential duties.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in finance economics or a closely related field from a nationally or internationally accredited university conferred by the start of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong research publication record or the potential to publish in top-tier peer-reviewed academic journals

  • A record of presentations at top-tier finance or economic conferences

  • Experience in teaching finance courses with strong teaching evaluations
