DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accounting files and records as assigned.
Analyzes data and trends by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information for accuracy.
Prepares transaction (e.g. journal entries cash disbursements cash receipts) and account reconciliations.
Ensures financial data is accurate and complete before processing in Deltek Vision.
Helps review and maintain accounting procedures recommends opportunities for change.
Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations including Bank accounts.
Meets all monthly quarterly and annual process and reporting deadlines.
Provide support with budget versus actual reporting and variance analysis as needed.
Proactively communicates potential issues to Manager.
Proactively initiates monthly quarterly and annual accounting activities.
Participates in special projects analysis and ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
1-5 years of experience in related field.
Industry experience preferred (Engineering/Architecture).
Required strong attention to detail deadline-oriented and excellent communication skills.
Understanding of GAAP and FAR regulations.
Deltek Vision systems experience preferred.
