What Youll Be Doing
As an Accounts Assistant youll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services to a diverse client base. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements for limited companies partnerships and sole traders
- Supporting quarterly VAT returns and tax computations (personal and corporate)
- Assisting with payroll processing (experience desirable but not essential)
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for client queries
- Mentoring junior colleagues and supporting their development
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations
What Were Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who are either AAT / ACCA part-qualifiedor qualified by experience. What matters most is your technical accuracy client-focused mindset and proactive attitude.
Youll ideally bring:
- Experience with IRIS or similar accounting software
- Confidence working with incomplete records and trial balances
- Proficiency in QuickBooks SAGE or Xero
- Strong IT skills (Excel Word Outlook)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative and self-motivated approach
- A genuine desire to grow within a supportive practice
