Join our dynamic Agile development team as a Software Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in the Software Development Lifecycle ensuring the timely delivery of innovative products. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about software testing test automation and professional advancement contributing to Sprint backlog development to drive the achievement of Product team goals.

As a Junior Software Engineer you will help build high-quality innovative and performant SaaS software that complies with coding standards and technical design. You help to define system functionality and work on both and front-end using C# and TypeScript/JavaScript programming languages.

You are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary planning defining requirements designing and prototyping building documenting testing deploying to finally maintaining the software.

Finally you contribute thoughts positively within the Agile development team and demonstrate an enthusiastic can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Help to design & deliver new features and maintain & improve current features across the platform.
Work closely with Software Engineering Managers and Team Leaders and other Software and Test Engineers to build well architected enterprise-class solutions.
Work collaboratively with Product Managers Technical Product Owners and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure features are delivered to a high standard.
Collaborate with the UX & Design Team to create an optimal user experience.
Work across the software development lifecycle to ensure timely delivery of products according to the roadmap and release cycles.
Work within an Agile software engineering team using e.g. Scrum framework.
Collaborate in defining and developing a work backlog to meet the objectives set by the Product team.
Diagnose troubleshoot and fix software defects.
Provide unit tests to support and validate for any development work undertaken.
Contribute to the Engineering Teams working practices and technology decisions.
Create necessary documentation relating to work produced.

Skills and Experience

Essential

2 years professional software development experience with at least 1 years C#.
Some experience in delivering and maintaining web-based software using C# .NET TypeScript/JavaScript and HTML CSS. React experience a plus.
Some experience implementing cloud-native technologies such as app services functions containers microservices and APIs ideally on Azure.
Some experience delivering reliable DevOps solutions continuous integration and continuous delivery using Azure DevOps Octopus Docker and Kubernetes. Ideally 24/7/365 SaaS experience.
A knowledge of Git.
Some experience in Agile software development methodologies/frameworks such as Scrum.
Some knowledge around best practices (architecture testing web application security implementation team dynamics etc.)
Good communication skills in English to other team members willing to teach and be teachable up and down the line.

Desirable

Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Azure or Cloud qualifications such as AZ-900 and beyond.
Cyber qualifications such as CEH.
