Job Summary

Heres what you need:

  • ADN required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire required
  • PALS within 90 days of hire required OR ENPC upon hire required
  • TNCC or ATCN upon hire required
  • 3-years Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care and/or Emergency Department related experience required
  • Progressive leadership responsibility preferred

In addition to the required qualifications a successful RN will

  • demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • maintain a positive customer-focused attitude
  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What you will do
Quality/Performance Improvement:
Engages staff to promote evidence based practices within the unit
Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements for compliance.
Evaluates the outcome of patient care consults with others on the patient care team and adjusts nursing care processes as needed to improve outcomes.
Participates in policy development and mentors staff regarding policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
Incorporates THR philosophy in working with peers and other members of the health care team. Partners with physicians to advance physician engagement.
Demonstrates accountability and responsibility by independently completing projects/assignments on time.

Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial 800 West Randol Mill Rd. Arlington TX 76012

Work hours: Full-time Days Monday - Friday 3:00pm to 11:00pm three days a week with some weekends required. The position will serve trauma patients.
