Job Summary
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of the Phase I Clinical Trials Unit the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work independently and/or in collaboration with the Phase I team to deliver high quality efficient medical services to patients participating in Phase I clinical trials at the LSUHSC Cancer Center. The NP will perform clinical research-related activities to include but not limited to attending clinic conducting clinical trial recruitment/enrollment providing informed consent specimen collection study and patient monitoring follow-up documentation reporting and providing treatment per study protocols. The NP will also work closely with pharma companies our affiliate institutions nurses Clinical Trial Coordinators and other research staff to ensure protocols are implemented correctly and adverse events are monitored and reported as required.
