Job Summary:

The Cross Functional Solutions Team Lead serves as a strategic leader in the support and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsprimarily Workdayacross the Universities of Wisconsin System. This role integrates responsibilities from both the Workday Enterprise Solutions Team (WEST) and the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) focusing on cross-functional system design implementation and support for Finance Human Resources and Research Administration. The individual in this position directs the design configuration troubleshooting and maintenance of Workday and related systems such as Adaptive Jaggaer/ShopUW and RAMP. They lead system analysis stakeholder engagement and strategy development to support both operational needs and long-term transformation goals acting as the principal contact for technical solutions within the application and database infrastructure.

This position requires close collaboration across business domains and technical teamsincluding integrations conversions data and reportingto ensure cohesive system functionality and alignment with institutional objectives. The Cross Functional Solutions Team Lead partners with ATP governance groups UW System leaders service providers and stakeholders to advance transformation goals and post-go-live support. They supervise and mentor staff provide technical guidance and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This includes enhancing user experience expanding system functionality and identifying training opportunities for team members.

In alignment with ATPs mission to simplify administrative complexity the role also supports business process standardization optimization and redesign. The successful candidate will contribute to a unified leadership team within WEST support distributed decision-making and champion diversity inclusion and equity throughout the transformation journey.

The primary work schedule is Monday through Friday during business hours beginning no later than 9:00 AM CST and ending no earlier than 3:00 PM CST with on-call or weekend rotation as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts to maintain ERP systems security through user profile management

Assists management team by advising on enterprise information technology operations and business models

Assists in serving as the liaison representing interests to internal and external stakeholders

Designs configures monitors and maintains performance metrics for system features and recommends and takes corrective/preventive actions

Recommends and participates in the implementation of ERP system enhancements or changes that may involve custom design optional and third-party products

Exercises supervisory authority including hiring transferring suspending promoting managing conduct and performance discharging assigning rewarding disciplining and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees

Plans coordinates and implements system-wide updates upgrades and patches for ERP systems

Troubleshoots hardware software and system problems that involve ERP system-wide functionality

Participates in the design development and implementation of test and production objects. Defines user requirements and performs configuration change management and testing activities

Compensation: Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $118010 - $140150 with final salary based on experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with Workday software. Strong technical skills in configuration integration and reporting.
  • 3 years of experience with project tracking and change management tools.
  • 3 years of experience providing IT/Software support including documenting business requirements functional specifications and creating user materials.
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to diagnose and solve complex issues within Workday.
  • High level of comfort working with and adjusting to changes in different software solutions while managing competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with peers executives and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading projects people or both (7 years desired).
  • Ability to prioritize work across team members to ensure deadlines are met and production issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge across multiple Workday modules and system wide configuration.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate in a remote work environment.

Education: Degree not required.
