Job Summary

The right candidate will be able to train on 1st or 2nd shift until 3rd shift takes off and then move to the standard 3rd shift schedule.

Training Schedule:
1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed

Standard Schedule:
3rd Shift (10:00pm-6:30am Monday-Friday); OT and weekends as needed
*The right candidate will expect to work until 8:30am on Saturday mornings when we have mandatory overtime scheduled for 1st/2nd Shift Hours 6:31am-8:30am will be paid at double pay!*

Job Summary: Working as part of the Beverage Operations team the Canning Line Operator is responsible for operating the high-speed canning/beverage production line equipment and creating producing and packaging products while collaborating within a team of peers.

What You ll Do:

  • Set-up operate monitor and maintain high-speed manufacturing equipment including: filler seamer packaging and palletizer equipment to ensure quality and efficiency of product output
  • Perform and document quality checks following Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) to ensure every can meets our gold-standard
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues on the machine immediately as they arise to keep production moving
  • Notify maintenance of equipment and other mechanical issues/necessary repairs with strong sense of urgency to minimize production delays
  • Perform physical inventory of packaging materials reporting replenishment needs quickly to avoid delays due to shortage of materials
  • Follow safety protocols GMPs and maintain sanitary and clean conditions to ensure equipment and product quality at all times
  • Perform all duties with strict attention-to-detail to ensure product is packaged properly and efficiently meeting all quality food safety output standards and client specifications
  • Collaborate with a strong supportive night crew
  • Communicate all production related concerns and matters to the Supervisor as they arise for immediate attention
  • Provide support as needed by working overtime to help operations and other shifts in staffing shortages
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What We re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1 year of machine operating experience preferably on high-speed packaging equipment is required
  • Previous experience in the food/beverage industry with an understanding of food safety & quality requirements is strongly desired
  • Knowledge and ability to understand operate and troubleshoot high-speed production line equipment
  • Must be able to read write and speak English
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays or Sundays as needed to fulfill production needs
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger handle grasp pinch or touch objects controls tools or equipment; kneel crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery
  • Occasionally required to lift carry move push or pull materials product or equipment up to 50 pounds; bend at the waist; climb or balance
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time up to ten (10) or more hours in a single shift
