Multimodality Tech (Permanent Role)

Job Summary:

The Multimodality Technologist supervised by a Radiologist performs imaging in two or more disciplines. At least 25% of their work focuses on advanced imaging areas such as CT MR Nuclear Medicine or Interventional Radiology (IR). This role involves working with ambulatory and hospital patients as ordered by a physician or licensed provider for diagnosing disease and injury following established protocols.

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more modalities (e.g. X-ray CT MRI Nuclear Medicine Interventional Radiology) according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process answering questions and ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Position patients properly and ensure correct imaging technique to obtain the required views.
• Monitor and maintain imaging equipment performing routine quality control checks and reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure to patients staff and self.
• Assist radiologists and physicians by providing technical support during imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records document procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in imaging technology and practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.

Education:

• Graduate of an Accredited Program

Experience:

• Less than 1 Year of Experience

Certification/License/Registration (Required):

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification
• CT Certification
• XR Certification (Radiography)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
• Licensed by the State of Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) unless the role is MRI or Ultrasound
