We are currently seeking skilled Outside Marine Machinists for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

Overview:

Maintain repair and install shipboard mechanical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Disassemble repair and align pumps motors and valves.
Install and test propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
Operate precision tools for measurements and alignments.
Follow shipyard safety and technical work documents.

Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret clearance .
4 years as a machinist with at least 2 years on Navy ships.
Completion of a formal trade training program (trade school military training apprenticeship or equivalent) .
Ability to read technical manuals and use precision tools.
Ability to work 1st 2nd and 3rd shift.
