LOCATION: BBC Pacific Quay Glasgow and BBC Television Centre London
Joining the talent pool means youll be considered for upcoming projects as they launch. While it doesnt guarantee work or a permanent contract people in the pool will be prioritised into suitable roles within the BBC Studios Science Unit when they arise.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Were looking for creative curious and highly organised Researchers to join our talent pool. If youre passionate about telling compelling stories this is your chance to work with the best in the business.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
As a Researcher youll help shape the next generation of science content supporting Producers and Assistant Producers across all stages of production from pre-production and filming to post.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- A genuine curiosity for science and our output
- Experience working on specialist factual content with a minimum of two recent tv broadcast researcher credits
- Strong analytical research skills with rigorous attention to detail. You can take complex information and distil it into clear and engaging stories
- Excellent organisation and communication skills both written and verbal along with a ready willingness to speak with contributors directly on the phone or video call
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience setting up UK film shoots for TV broadcast.
- Ability to build relationships with scientists and contributors
- A good understanding of emerging production technologies
- Good audience awareness. You will think about who is watching our output and shape content that speaks to diverse audiences with relevance and creativity
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Experience or knowledge around VFX pipelines
- Experience setting up international film shoots
