Summary:
Responsible for the project management of Habitats home repair programs in a way that provides quality repairs for low-income families in a safe and affordable manner while working to build community.
Home Repair
Essential Functions
oAct as the Project manager for Home Repair projects.
oAssures that all work is in accordance with approved drawings current codes budget and within the boundaries of the contract and scope of work.
oMake sure compliance is met with all grants including reporting timelines scopes budget and inspections.
oHire and manage subcontract labor.
oCommunicate progress to all essential stakeholders.
Planning and scheduling
oPrepare scope of work and timeline for repair completion.
oCommunicate as needed with homeowner on scope and timeline.
oDevelop and adhere to construction plans standards and schedules.
oCommunicate schedule adjustment to all stakeholders.
oEstablish budgets for each project track and ensure cost and qualities meet HFHML guidelines.
oEnsure safety on the projects.
Materials and subcontractors
oDevelop take-offs manage bids and place orders as needed.
oSolicit in kind donations of materials and labor whenever possible.
oManage subcontractors to ensure budget scope of work and timeline are met.
Support Community Development Program
oWork with the Community Development and Repair Manager as needed to plan events like Love Your Neighborhood and DIY classes.
Knowledge skills and abilities
Experience
oConstruction experience and working knowledge of building science and current construction techniques.
oProject Management experience.
