Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees warehouse operations including inventory control distribution and team management to ensure efficiency and alignment with company goals. They implement industry best practices develop KPIs and collaborate with other departments to integrate warehousing with broader business processes. Additionally they ensure compliance with company policies resolve customer service issues and contribute to profitability through effective budget management.
Reports To: SVP Supply Chain
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee 3 Warehouse Locations in South Houston/Pearland and Jersey City.
- Lead and support the establishment of a brand new Warehouse in PROENERGYs newest location
- Strategically plan and manage warehouse including receiving and distribution of products parts or supplies for both internal and external customers/clients
- Supervise and manage warehouse team
- Lead day-to-day operations in close collaboration with Production Supply Chain and Transportation
- Develop and manage warehouse KPIs aligning with standard operating procedures
- Manage inventory control to budget to contribute to profitability of company
- Design assess and implement new strategies and initiatives based on industry best practices.
- Assist warehouse specialists and other team members as needed to meet schedule
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate warehousing with company processes.
- Ensure company policy system and industry related training is completed and documented
- Establish and maintain effective relationship with the public and co-workers to be able to resolve all customer service issues in an expeditious and cost-effective manner ensuring continued quality
- Driving and leading Warehouse Transformations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience with warehousing software and systems.
- Desire to train educate and develop team members and interface partners (Internal Customers Suppliers and Service Providers) to mature process adherence and execution
- All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in related field (Logistics Supply Chain Manufacturing Business Administration) with 15 years of managing warehousing and leading Teams
- Experience in analyzing building and scaling warehousing systems capabilities and implementation.
- Experience in setting up a new Warehouse hiring respective team and leading WH set-up
- Technical competence including understanding software hardware networks etc.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Organizational and communication skills to include management of multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Proficient in the use of various MS Office Suite programs
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to perform research compile and analyze data and write clear concise and accurate reports on complex subjects
- Experienced in Warehousing transformation projects and incl. Warehousing Solutions
