JOB SUMMARY:
This intern role will allow the student to gain firsthand experience and understanding of PR and its role within Trade Marketing and Sales at Universal Orlando. Core responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day information distribution coverage tracking writing media materials media management assisting with event planning/execution etc. Intern will also have the opportunity to shadow campaign planning and implementation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops various PR materials including media alerts and press releases.
- Regularly updates media contact lists and monitors Media & PR inboxes including answering media requests in a timely manner.
- Participates in brainstorm sessions for major PR tactics and pitches.
- Tracks media coverage and sentiment and provides summary reports to management as needed.
- Assists with implementing tactics and media event planning and logistics including supporting production shoots.
- Develops media pitches and talking points.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Public Relations Advertising Marketing or similar.
- Awareness of Public Relations and Media Relations terminology.
- Experience using communication strategies & tactics.

- This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than August 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
