Job Description
Charge Radiation Therapist Dunedin Hospital
- Permanent Fulltime Opportunity 40 hours per week
- This is a rare opportunity to lead a fantastic team of dedicated Radiation Therapists to deliver high-quality contemporary Radiation Therapy in Dunedin Hospital for the Southern Blood and Cancer Service

About the Role
The Charge Radiation Therapist provides high level leadership and effective management of the radiation therapy staff and clinical service delivery in the this role you will oversee daily operations resource management and quality assurance processes to provide a person-centred approach for patients and whānau.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Currently we have three linear accelerators two Elekta Versa HD and one Varian Truebeam. We have BrainLab with Exactrac on our Varian Truebeam to provide the National Stereotactic Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery Service for New Zealand and enhance our established SABR program. A Siemens go. Open Pro CT with Varian Respiratory Gating system and a number of other radiation oncology specific features. The department utilises the full suite of Elekta software including Monaco Treatment Planning System and MOSAIQ Patient Management System. As a service we deliver 1200 courses per year to a wide range of indications. The multidisciplinary team includes radiation oncologists radiation therapists medical physicists nursing administrative and allied health staff.

About you
You will be an experienced Senior Radiation Therapist with proven leadership experience at Team Leader / Superintendent Level
- Hold a current APC for the scope of Radiation Therapy as directed by the MRTB
- Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of all aspects of RT
- A high level of interpersonal and communication skills
