LOCATION:Park City UT

TRAVEL: <10%

TOTAL COMPENSATION:$80000 - $82500 - 3% annual bonus potential

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

The High Performance Specialist will play a critical role in collaborating with U.S. Ski & Snowboard High Performance Departments external partners to share key insights and support the application of departmental systems. With a passion for educating and empowering others this position will focus on teaching supporting and mentoring High Performance Partners in all aspects of high-performance processes to champion and strengthen the broader development system.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

High Performance PartnerCoordinator

  1. Operational Excellence
    1. Learn develop and help document U.S. Ski & Snowboards COE standard operating procedures in all areas ofathletic development and sports medicine support (including but not limited to: facility design and equipment needs staffing structure/requirements and education/certification athlete intake testing and monitoring injury prevention and return to performance protocols).
    2. Work withHigh Performance Partners leadership team and U.S. Ski & Snowboard Director of Sport Science to translate U.S. Ski & Snowboard COE standard operating procedures into effective work practices.
    3. Deliver and implement athletic development programming as needed to support High Performance Partners affiliates.
    4. Assist support and mentorHigh Performance Partners staff in all aspects of U.S. Ski & Snowboards COE operations.
    5. Travel toHigh Performance Partners locations as needed to deliver educational sessions.
    6. Comply withHigh Performance Partners policies for dress conduct and identification in their respective facilities.
    7. Organize and promote biannual High Performance Symposium and other similar events.
  2. Financial Performance
    1. Act as a Partnership Liaison to ensure both parties are actively engaging in and maximizing their return on investment of the partnership.

High Performance Centers

  1. Operational Excellence
    1. Lead the High Performance Center (HPC) program by collaborating with and educating a select group of top-tier clubs across the country.
    2. Identify club needs and coordinate educational opportunities by engaging internal and external subject matter experts.
    3. Provide each club with constructive feedback on areas for growth and development offering actionable recommendations to support continuous improvement.
    4. Plan and deliver national and regional retreats to strengthen connection alignment and shared purpose across the HPC network.
    5. Support the nationwide implementation and delivery of SkillsQuest-Fitness testing.
    6. Liaison with the Sport Education Department in conjunction with the Director of Sport Science to ensure clear and cohesive messaging.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum Undergraduate degree (ideally Masters degree) in Sport Science Kinesiology Strength & Conditioning or related subject.
  2. Current certification from the CSCCa NSCA and/or USAW or equivalent and First Aid and CPR certified.
  3. Minimum 5 years experienceleading athletic development programming for national-level athletes.
  4. Thorough knowledge of U.S. Ski & Snowboards development system is preferred.
  5. A strong understanding of the entire movement continuum athletic development philosophy physical literacy and long-term athlete development.
  6. Proven experience working in an interdisciplinary High Performance Department among multiple disciplines.
  7. Excellent knowledge of international best practices in athlete development and reconditioning.
  8. Experience developing and delivering educational content.
  9. Ability to travel locally within Utah and nationally/internationally as required.
  10. Legally able to work in the USA (USA citizen or existing Green Card/Work Visa without further sponsorship).
  11. Must meet contractor requirements for working at High Performance Partner facilities.
