Meet your new team!

We are looking for a Business Partner who supports and acts as a partner to the Chief Innovation Officer of Oterra and Global R&D-organization through actionable financial analysis and insights and who can overlook our cost structure across SG&A. The role is based out of our HQ in Hørsholm Denmark or in Prades-Le-Lez near Montpellier in France (34)

What would your role look like

Business Partner works closely with colleagues across Manufacturing Sales Product Management and Finance to enhance transparency on R&D-activities and cost structures support planning and forecasting processes and drive productivity initiatives. The role is instrumental in ensuring that finance acts as a true partner to R&D in delivering business objectives and cost excellence. The role is part of the Group Business Finance team and interacts regularly with stakeholders on cost and resource control deviations versus planned project portfolio- and pipeline performance and ongoing decision-making.

Duties and responsibilities:

R&D controlling

  • Collaborating with the Head of Business Finance to develop and implement a steering model framework and profitability analysis approach for R&D projects
  • Preparing analyzing and communicating monthly performance reports on R&D costs and project progress for the CIO for strategic decision-making.
  • Supporting budgeting forecasting and strategic planning processes within the R&D function focusing on the portfolio and pipeline structure of projects incl. Business Case-preparation.
  • Provide insights together with the R&D team into the development of our Innovation-driven Sales.
  • Review of the patent portfolio and related costs together with the R&D team.
  • Participating in and supporting continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on cost excellence and processes for structural transparency within the R&D function.
  • Assisting with internal controls and audit processes relevant to R&D finance.
  • Conducting ad-hoc analyses and providing financial analysis and insights to senior management and Board of Directors as needed.

SG&A controlling

  • Enhance the accountability and management of SG&A costs by supporting the development and implementation of more fit-for-purpose business structure and follow-up processes.
  • Work with Finance master data to unlock transparency across the cost-base.
  • Support the development of a transparentcost-base and tracking of initiatives and projects on top to support improved resource-allocation.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to optimize SG&A costs focusing on transparency cost excellence and effective follow-up mechanisms.

Who are we looking for

We are looking forsomeone with an understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis and Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools

Experience and skills required:

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
  • Masters degree in business administration or finance
  • Experience with ERP systems preferably SAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience with data visualization tools to present financial insights effectively
  • Demonstrated project leader-capabilities with the ability to influence and drive change
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
