Position Summary/Purpose:

Operate and maintain systems associated with a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine

(CCGT) facility while demonstrating safety awareness and direction that will

continuously improve performance by employees and contractors through the

use and strict adherence to procedures and processes.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

Foster the importance of a safety-oriented culture.

Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agenciesand avoid reportable violations

Required participation in the multi-year Production Technician multi skillprogression plan to develop key skills in maintenance andoperations. Upon completion the employee should have the desire aptitudeand ability to meet board operator qualification

Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings. Be responsible forContractor Safety and conduct Contractor SafetyOrientations as needed

Applies understanding and knowledge of plant systems burner controls (whereapplicable) turbine controls data acquisitionprocess controls regulating devices personal computers troubleshooting etc.

Operational duties include but not limited to operating the control boardmaking operational rounds performing PM/PDMactivities HRSG water chemistry CEMS monitoring and calibrations

Applies skills to perform inspections calibrations installations repairsdiagnostics testing and troubleshooting of complexinstrumentation equipment and regulating devices in a CCGT facility alone andas part of a team.

Perform mechanical work involved in inspection repair and installation ofinstrumentation and electrical equipment and light PM of mechanical systems

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

2-Year associate degree in Industrial Electronics Instrumentation/Controls orProduction/Process Technology and 0-2 years of experience in a CCGT facility inan Operations or Maintenance position

2 years of power plant operations/maintenance/electrical experience

EEI Testing:

One way that Entergy has found to identify and assess the abilities and skills needed for certain jobs is through pre-employment testing. If you are invited to a test session we strongly recommend you review and complete the practice test as well as review the testing brochure for your respective test. The test brochure will give you critical information on the test such as time allocated and number of questions. Also keep in mind that the actual test is timed; you should practice timing yourself while doing the practice tests. In addition to EEI testing there is also Fit-for-Duty testing which will identify and assess the abilities and skills needed for certain jobs. If this position does require Fit-for-Duty testing the type of test will be located under the qualifications section of the job posting.
