Job Summary
Equipment Operator Undergrounds Water & Sewer

Key Information:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- Must have a minimum 2-3 years of undergrounds/water & sewer experience.
- Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment.
- Hours: Based on a 44-hour work week; however overtime is required during the busy season.
- Must be willing to working evenings and weekends when needed.
- Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:
- Operate heavy equipment clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment secure special attachments to equipment.
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Execute high volume production.
- Fine grading and finishing.
- When required assist other operators labourers and trades.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks for equipment.
Experience and Certification Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator required.
- 2-3 years of undergrounds/water & sewer experience is required.
- CSTS WHMIS Ground Disturbance Level 2 are required.
- You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions and work positively within a team to achieve a common goal.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- A drivers abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
- Proficient English language skills required.
Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
