Job Summary
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
* The Accounts Receivable Clerk performs basic accounting functions that post and balance the daily ledger.
ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS:
* This position requires a high school education or an equivalent of a GED. Must be proficient at keyboarding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Apply customer payments.
Research and solve payment discrepancies.
Process credit card payments and credits.
Make adjustments to accounts as needed.
Check the daily deposit before it is sent to the bank.
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft office. A/P data entry for invoices.
-Ability to use a variety of Office Equipment and Microsoft Office Programs.
-Assigned projects by supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* General working hours for this position will be from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Overtime only approved through supervisor
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
-Kneeling bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
-Crouching bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
-Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body; prolonged periods of sitting.
-Standing particularly for sustained periods of time.
-Walking moving about on foot to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.
