Physical Therapist Long-Term Care/SNF - Travel Position
Location: Billings MT
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days
Pay: $1955/week
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Billings MT on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate residents design individualized treatment plans and deliver therapy to improve mobility strength balance and independence. The ideal candidate is adaptable patient-focused and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to assess residents mobility strength and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide therapy interventions including gait training balance activities strengthening and functional mobility exercises.
- Educate residents families and caregivers on therapy goals safe mobility and the use of assistive devices.
- Document evaluations progress notes and therapy sessions accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with occupational therapy speech therapy and nursing staff to ensure holistic patient-centered care.
- Promote independence recovery and enhanced quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Montana (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience preferably in LTC/SNF settings.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach with geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred.
