The School of Historical Philosophical and Religious Studies (SHPRS) at Arizona State University invites applications for its faculty associate pool for the 2025-26 academic year and summer session (Session Instructor).
Faculty Associates are one semester appointments with the potential to be renewed. They are part time non-benefits eligible with no tenure implications not to exceed .40 FTE (.50FTE during summer session). A typical Faculty Associate course load is one to two classes per semester either in-person or online. Teaching duties include: preparing course materials responding to and evaluating student work and availability for one-on-one assistance (via weekly office hours for on-campus classes and electronically for online classes). Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple non-benefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.
