Your Future Role
In Bautzen 1200 colleagues manufacture S-Bahn tram and light rail vehicles as well as high-speed trains with a focus on final assembly commissioning and delivery. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen.
Key responsibilities:
- Work in close collaboration with the project core team and animate the operation planning community of the project
- Coordinates accross sites the whole operation planning network working on a project to improve hard inventories and industrial planning feasibility
- Maintain project schedule (internal & customer schedule) in order to manage the project efficiently
- Focus on early identification of potential delays (critical paths) including the status on risks and margin related to schedule
- Contribute with the Finance Project Manager to Earned Value Management and assess commercial impact of planning changes
- Coordinate actions of MPS construction done by the manufacturing sites and communicate on industrial strategie(s) ensure the synchronisation of all MPS baselines and inform all stakeholders
- Organise and lead periodic synchronisation meetings with industrial planners of all manufacturing sites provide a timely updated manufacturing schedule situation highlighting the gap between the actual and the baseline(s)
- Provide actual / forecasted views on manufacturing lead times and associated inventory to the project
- Prepare manufacturing progress reports to the project and contribute to project planning rituals
- Plan the retrofit activities on manufacturing sites and customer sites
Qualifications:
- A university degree preferably in Engineering or Business
- Typically minimum 6 years of experience in a industrial planning role
- Working experience either in Project Management or Production
- Has worked on several projects and/ or bids ideally in similar business areas (e.g. railways construction oil & gas technology energy)
- Knowledge of a relevant planning software (e.g. MS Project) is required ODY.C or Primavera is an advantage
- Fluent in German and English (min. level B2)
