The Governing Body and staff of West Kirby Primary School are looking to recruit a new Senior Caretaker (Site Manager) for our school.
West Kirby Primary School are looking to appoint somebody who will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the school to maintain a high standard and ensure Health & Safety Compliance. The successful candidate will be somebody who takes extreme pride in helping to keep the school both inside and out in immaculate condition and safe for addition the successful candidate will have good DIY skills to undertake basic maintenance of the premises and be able to effectively problem solve.
Some knowledge and experience of basic IT skills would be welcomed.
The role has many aspects but will include the following;
Site security and safety
Out of hours key holder
Locking and/or unlocking of the site
General repairs and maintenance across the site
Health and Safety Compliance
Cleaning
Monitor and manage cleaning staff
Grounds maintenance
Liaising with the Caretaker who works 13.75 hours
Liaising with Contractors
Liaising with the Headteacher and School Business Manager

The hours of work are 36 hours a week and are very likely to be in a block of hours over the day (no-split shift). This can be discussed further on enquiry or at the interview stage.
The starting date is Monday 3rd November 2025. However there may be some flexibility with this for the right candidate.
