Job Description

Job Title: Video Editor Marketing and Events
Type: Full-time Independent Contractor
Location: Remote
Work Hours: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM U.S. Central Time

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to transform event footage and brand assets into high-performing marketing and social content. You will collaborate closely with the Media Director and a small fast-moving creative team to produce paid ads sponsor posts event recaps and other short-form deliverables that drive ticket sales and fan engagement.

This role is hands-on in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects with strong color sound and motion fundamentals. An understanding of live events or sports storytelling is highly preferred.

What Youll Do

1. Marketing & Paid Ads

  • Edit short-form ads for upcoming events 120 days in advance.

  • Build versions for multiple placements and aspect ratios.

  • Incorporate on-camera talent b-roll and motion graphics.

  • Deliver clean text animations and lower thirds following brand guidelines.

2. Social & Sponsorship Content

  • Produce sponsor-integrated social posts and cutdowns.

  • Apply brand colors fonts and graphic templates consistently.

  • Turn feedback quickly using .

3. Event Storytelling & Recaps

  • Create recap videos highlighting event flow key moments and winners.

  • Select and sequence footage from large archives with minimal hand-holding.

  • Balance pace music crowd energy and athlete features for maximum impact.

4. Craft & Technical Quality

  • Perform color correction and light grading with a creative eye.

  • Handle variable frame rates slow motion and high-bitrate footage.

  • Execute sound design VO cleanup and music edits with licensed tracks.

  • Maintain organized project files for easy reuse and repurposing.

5. Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work in Adobe Creative Cloud and .

  • Follow existing file structures and naming conventions.

  • Communicate proactively on timelines and dependencies.

  • Participate in iterative reviews and apply notes rapidly.

Experience & Skills Required

  • 47 years of professional editing experience in a creative or sports environment.

  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro with solid experience in After Effects Photoshop and Media Encoder.

  • Proven skills in color correction sound design text animation and multi-platform delivery.

  • Strong reel showcasing short-form ads social cutdowns and event recaps.

  • Ability to work independently with large footage archives.

  • Experience using for reviews and versioning.

  • High attention to detail across continuity audio levels and typography.

  • Clear communication and collaborative mindset.

  • Familiarity with live events or sports storytelling (pickleball knowledge is a plus).

Nice to Have:

  • Broadcast deliverable experience.

  • Custom motion graphics design.

  • On-site capture or photography experience.

  • Strong English proficiency.
