Strathcona County is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable professional to manage projects and provide expert planning guidance to Council internal departments the development industry and the public.
This role works collaboratively with internal departments external agencies and the development industry to ensure land use proposals align with the organizations goals and policies to achieve the Countys long-term vision. As a specialized municipality Strathcona County also offers the unique opportunity to contribute to planning initiatives in both rural and urban settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualificationsand Skills:
Post Secondary Degree in Planning or a related field with 3 to 5 years professional planning experience or experience related to the functions of the position
Strong organizational and records keeping skills to ensure appropriate information management
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team to promote corporate and Planning & Development Services goals and objectives to clients or members of the public
Conditions of Employment:
Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers license and submission of a 5-year Drivers Abstract with less than 7 demerits
