POSITION: National Board Lead Facilitator (2025-2026 School Year) (Job # 3331)

JOB SUMMARY: The NBC Lead Facilitator will work closely with the NBC Facilitators to provide support to NBC candidates. The NBC Lead Facilitators will plan and deliver candidate support sessions focused on professional learning as related to National Board Certification components. Additionally the NBC Lead Facilitators will coordinate training and monitor candidate progress with the NBC facilitators and provide support as needed. Support can include but is not limited to one-on-one meetings (in-person or virtual) facilitation of cohort group sessions and delivery of professional development through Schoology Teams or in-person. There is 1 position available.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Human Resources
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Be a current Calvert County Public Schools employee in good standing.
2. Meets Maryland State Certification requirements or holds a bachelors degree.
3. Currently hold National Board Certification
4. Demonstrated skill in online and face to face learning and the use of a variety of instructional strategies and techniques.
5. Understanding of and ability to maintain rapport with persons from diverse cultural ethnic and racial groups.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
7. Demonstrated management leadership and human relations skills
8. Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions
9. Proven ability to carry an assignment to its completion
10. Demonstrated success in accomplishing tasks akin to the duties and responsibilities listed below
11. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Calvert County Public Schools may find appropriate and acceptable
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plan and deliver 10 candidate support sessions focused on professional learning as related to the 5 National Board Certification components.
2. Work with the NBC Facilitators and HR Supervisor to establish support pathways for NBC candidates.
3. Coordinate ATLAS registrations for NBC candidates.
4. Provide ongoing support to NBC candidates related to the ATLAS learning platform.
5. Establish meeting dates for support sessions and assist NBC facilitators with the teacher/cohort support; and develop a plan to communicate those dates to the teachers.
6. Meet with NBC Facilitators regularly to monitor progress of NBC candidates.
7. Collaborate with the HR Supervisor on the completion of any special projects or products that result from support sessions.
8. Support the NBC Facilitators to schedule a variety of support sessions with individuals or cohort groups of assigned NBC candidates.
9. Secure sufficient space to provide support/PD events as appropriate.
10. Administer a post-survey to candidates to demonstrate success of the facilitation process and make appropriate changes.
OTHER DUTIES: Performs related work as required or assigned by the Supervisor of Human Resources.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position may require significant periods of standing and walking and is performed in a typical school environment.
UNUSUAL DEMANDS: None
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: EDEP (category 9) grant funded position with a stipend amount of $2008.00.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the policy on evaluation as established by the Calvert County Public Schools.
