Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant Audit will lead audit review and compilation engagements for privately held businesses mentoring junior staff and ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting. This role offers significant responsibility client engagement and a clear path to leadership in a dynamic supportive firm.

Responsibilities:

Lead and perform audit review and compilation engagements for privately held companies.
Supervise and mentor staff accountants reviewing work and providing on-the-job training.
Perform agreed-upon procedures and support special projects like due diligence and acquisitions.
Analyze internal controls and assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements.
Build client relationships through effective communication and service.
Travel to client sites as needed for fieldwork.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA license.
Minimum of 35 years of public accounting audit experience.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and assurance standards.
Long-term care/skilled nursing audit experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail time management and technical skills.
New Jersey residency required.
