Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant Audit will lead audit review and compilation engagements for privately held businesses mentoring junior staff and ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting. This role offers significant responsibility client engagement and a clear path to leadership in a dynamic supportive firm.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform audit review and compilation engagements for privately held companies.
- Supervise and mentor staff accountants reviewing work and providing on-the-job training.
- Perform agreed-upon procedures and support special projects like due diligence and acquisitions.
- Analyze internal controls and assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Build client relationships through effective communication and service.
- Travel to client sites as needed for fieldwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA license.
- Minimum of 35 years of public accounting audit experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and assurance standards.
- Long-term care/skilled nursing audit experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail time management and technical skills.
- New Jersey residency required.
