What does a successful Software Development Engineering - Advisor II do

As a Software Development Engineering - Advisor II you will be instrumental in designing developing and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you will do:

• Lead the design development and implementation of software applications to support Fiservs business goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Perform coding testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes ensuring adherence to coding standards.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

What you will need to have:

• 10 years of software development experience in Java Spring Boot Spring Security Spring Batch Spring Microservices.

• 4 years of experience in SQL Server with expertise in writing stored procedures.

• 3 years of experience in Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) AWS Azure.

• 3 years of experience developing and designing in Microsoft Azure Cloud.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

• Experience in Splunk REST APIs Front-end frameworks (Angular or React).

• 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira Confluence).

• Experience in the financial services industry.

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site in Frisco Texas Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.

• You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including but not limited to F-1 (OPT CPT STEM) H-1B H-2 or TN or any candidate requiring sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this role.
