Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate deception objectives narratives and supporting CONOPs aligned with the commanders intent and broader OIE campaign.
- Analyze adversary decision-making processes (e.g. OODA loop) and intelligence collection methods to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.
- Create credible sensor-verifiable deception narratives that are operationally supported.
- Coordinate MILDEC efforts with other Information-Related Capabilities (IRCs) including OPSEC MISO Cyber and EW.
- Ensure synchronization of deception plans with real-world operations in coordination with OPSEC and Intelligence (J2).
- Monitor adversary behavior through intelligence collection; assess effectiveness using Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) and adjust plans accordingly.
- Serve as a liaison with CCMD staff subordinate units and JIIM partners to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Direct experience in strategic and operational-level MILDEC planning.
- Completion of one or more of the following courses:
- Joint Military Deception Training Course (JMTC)
- Service-Level MILDEC Course
- MILDEC Theater Operations Course (MDTOC)
- Expertise in the Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP).
- Demonstrated experience drafting MILDEC plans orders and strategy assessments.
- Proven ability to operate effectively at the strategic/joint level with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education in Strategic Communications Information Operations or National Security.
- Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) or Special Technical Operations (STO).
- Operational experience in one or more of the following AORs: CENTCOM INDOPACOM AFRICOM.
- Prior experience supporting CCMD or Joint Staff-level initiatives.
- Familiarity with HUMINT or Counterintelligence integration.
