Job Description

Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel to join our Credit Risk Solutions legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing area of the business supporting our global team of credit risk insurance brokers. You will gain exposure to a wide range of legal and commercial matters and play a key role in helping ensure our insurance documentation meets legal standards and client expectations.

The Role

You will work closely with experienced legal and broking professionals developing your expertise in credit risk insurance and financial services law.

  • Assist in reviewing and drafting credit risk insurance policy wordings under the guidance of senior legal counsel.
  • Support the legal team in responding to queries from brokers and clients regarding policy terms and legal issues.
  • Help with research and analysis of legal and regulatory developments relevant to credit risk insurance.
  • Participate in internal meetings to understand client needs and contribute to the development of policy documentation.
  • Collaborate with brokers and underwriters to support negotiations on policy terms.
  • Assist with claims-related legal queries working alongside the claims and legal teams.
  • Contribute to new product development and innovation projects by supporting documentation efforts.
  • Engage with industry bodies and stay informed about market practices and trends.


Qualifications

The Requirements

Were looking for someone who is eager to learn proactive and ready to grow their legal career in a fast-paced international environment.

  • Qualified solicitor (or close to qualification) in England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction.
  • Some experience or strong interest in insurance law financial services or commercial contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Interest in credit risk trade finance or structured finance is a plus but not essential.
