Were looking for a Senior CAD Designer to join our Engineering Design Support team in Auckland or this role youll:

Produce and review 2D and 3D designs that meet rail industry standards.

Maintain and improve document management and design systems.

Provide training mentoring and peer support to promote CAD and BIM best practice.

Manage external design support resources to ensure quality and value.

Develop CAD libraries and drawing standards to support consistency and excellence.

Youll play a key part in KiwiRails transformation by helping deliver innovative and reliable design outputs that support our people customers and communities.

Were looking for someone who is safety-focused detail-oriented and a strong team contributor. You will also bring:

4 years experience in linear infrastructure CAD design with proven ability in 2D and 3D engineering modelling.

Knowledge of ISO or similar quality systems and experience using survey data.

Proficiency in CAD/BIM software Microsoft Office tools and Civil3D.

A recognised qualification in technical drawing (a diploma in design or engineering is desirable).

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Ability to adapt to evolving digital engineering practices.

The ability to pass regular drug and alcohol screening.

Membership of Engineering NZ or equivalent professional affiliation is preferred.
