Operations Performance Junior Manager

Based inBudapest

Purpose of the position:

Key support role in monitoring and improving operational performance across the Wizz Air network. The role involves close collaboration with OCC personnel airport stations and ground handling partners to collect data identify trends and assist in developing initiatives that enhance turnaround efficiency and readiness for disruptions.

Responsibilities:

General

  • Track on-time performance and turnaround KPIs across the network using available systems and dashboards.
  • Collect and validate data on delay reasons station performance and operational irregularities.
  • Support the development of regular OTP reports heatmaps and variance analyses.

Turnaround Support

  • Assist in monitoring turnaround processes at critical bases or delay-prone stations in line with the PTT
  • Participate in root-cause analysis for below-target performance days.
  • Flag repeated trends and escalate to the line Manager for deeper review.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare standard reports (daily weekly monthly) summarizing delay performance and trends.
  • Use tools such as Excel Power BI or SQL-based platforms for data cleaning and visual reporting.
  • Support the preparation of internal presentations and station performance reviews.

Stakeholders Coordination Support

  • Follow up with stakeholders for clarifications on performance data or specific incidents.
  • Assist in tracking SLAs compliance using contract terms and internal scorecards.
  • Maintain logs of stakeholders issues and station-level improvement actions.

Disruption Readiness Input

  • Help document past disruption cases and collate learnings for internal knowledge base.
  • Maintain checklists and playbooks used during operational disruptions.
  • Support simulations and readiness drills coordinated by the OCC team.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Coordinate with base OCC staff and station teams for follow-ups on performance data and corrective actions.
  • Deputize the line Manager during Group OTP meetings.
  • Support the line Manager with internal review meetings with background data and insights.
  • Other projects as assigned by line manager.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of overall work experience with 1 years of experience in aviation
  • LCC experience is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite (mainly MS Excel)
  • Bachelors or Masters degree
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
