Key Responsibilities:
CMDB Data Quality & Remediation
Analyze CMDB data for completeness correctness uniqueness and compliance.
Implement data quality rules normalization deduplication and reconciliation.
Monitor and maintain CMDB Health Dashboard metrics.
*CI Classification & Pattern Expertise
Maintain and update CI class hierarchy in the CMDB.
Define refine and maintain CI identification rules and patterns for Discovery and Service Mapping.
Work with MID Servers probes and sensors to ensure accurate CI identification.
Resolve misclassified or unclassified CIs using IRE discovery patterns and reconciliation rules.
Discovery & Service Mapping Integration
Collaborate with Discovery teams to improve CI pattern coverage.
Ensure endtoend service visibility by mapping CIs to business services.
Work with application infrastructure and service owners for CI validation and approvals.
Participate in CMDB governance change and audit processes.
Develop dashboards and KPIs to track CI accuracy classification and data quality improvements.
Provide actionable insights to data stewards and service owners.
Required Skills:.
ServiceNow CMDB Discovery and Service Mapping expertise.
CI classification and pattern development experience (creating/maintaining CI patterns rules and reconciliation logic).
Strong knowledge of Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
Knowledge of ITIL Configuration Management processes and CMDB governance.
Experience in ServiceNow scripting (GlideScript Business Rules Script Includes).
Preferred Skills
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Exposure to ServiceNow GRC SecOps or HRSD is a plus.
Prior experience working in large enterprise environments.
Experience in governance and audit compliance initiatives.
Certifications & Mandate
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Discovery CMDB.
