Job Description

Role : Mechanical & Package Category Lead (JD below)


Manage the entire Mechanical Equipment (Static / Rotary) and packages (all process
mechanical material handling HVAC Fire Fighting etc.) at SBG E&I level. Handle 1000
cr plus volume of orders. Handle a team of category leads and buyers to effectively
address all such category requirements of projects across the SBG. Develop
Procurement Strategy for proposals/projects in collaboration with Engineering &
Operations. Maintain a list of qualified and experienced vendors for all types of products
and packages. Guide the team in handling all techno-commercial and contractual
aspects of the orders to be awarded. Develop leadership pipeline for the function and
work on continual improvements of the team competencies and capabilities.

Exp Range : Minimum 20 - 22 years out of which at least 10 years should be
in core project procurement of said products and packages of this category and at least
3 years in leadership role


Education : Engineering Degree (Chemical/Mechanical preferred). Additional
qualifications in terms of MBA or Courses on Contracts and Commercial etc. would be
good to have


Location : Mumbai


Must have : Candidate must have basic domain knowledge of Mechanical products and
Packages (described above) and experience in estimation and costing skills for the
same techno-commercial negotiations award and management of all types of orders
covered under this category. Candidate must preferably have multiple industry
experience (Oil & Gas Power Infra etc.). Site or Field experience will be an added
advantage. Candidate must have good knowledge of vendors in the industry and must
be well connected with the market. Candidate must have handled at least a team size of
8-10 members as a leader.
